Mayo Simplified!!

What you will need for homemade mayonnaise:

WIDE MOUTH mason jar

Emersion blender

Ingredients:

1 large egg

1 cup avocado oil

pinch of salt

good squeeze of mustard

splash of lemon or even lime juice

Directions:

Put all of your ingredients into the wide mouth mason jar. Place your emersion blender on the bottom of the jar and turn it on. Once you see the emulsification process starting, move your emersion blender up and down and side to side until everything is incorporated.

That is it! Every once in a while, I myself will even have a batch that does not emulsify. Quite frankly, I am not sure why. If this happens to you DO NOT THROW IT OUT! I use this to make salad dressings, it just won’t be spreadable for say sandwiches.

You will keep this homemade mayonnaise in the fridge to add to sandwiches, make salad dressings, or even add to your deviled eggs. This is using raw eggs so it will only stay fresh for about 7-10 days. See how easy that was? Now you can check that off your grocery list!
